Mona Najafizadeh is a multidisciplinary artist who works with video art and installation. Her background is in painting, and she has a Master of Arts degree from Tehran Azad University of Arts and Architecture. She has worked as a cultural and artistic director for the past decade, creating and cultivating a wide range of creative projects and spaces.

Her work has been exhibited in numerous national and international galleries and artist residencies. In addition to her artistic practice, Mona has also served as curator and jury member for numerous art festivals and exhibitions.

A strong social lens is at the forefront of her curatorial work as well as her individual practice. With either her installations or programming choices, she is constantly addressing the crossover junctures of art and daily life, creating space for underrepresented narratives.

Mona opened Bostan Art Gallery in Tehran in 2023 with the intention of bringing contemporary art closer to people. She continues to serve as the director of the gallery, where she is dedicated to introducing new voices while involving artists in a dialogue with the audience.
