Melina Panahi (b. 2002, Tehran) is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose practice is rooted in painting. While her medium shifts in response to each project—ranging from drawing and sculpture to installation and moving image—she approaches every work through a painterly sensibility. For Panahi, painting is not only a medium but a way of seeing and constructing image. Her work engages with unstable thresholds: between presence and absence, life and suspension, interior and exterior space. Through experimentation with material, scale, and process, she develops each project as an evolving inquiry rather than a fixed outcome. Experience and transformation within the making process remain central to her practice.
